Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet Review

Sony had at the Mobile World Congress in late February, the Xperia Z2 Tablet announced. The unit is now on the market and the first impression of Sony’s new Android tablet thrilled, especially by its lightness and "thickness". A mere 6.4 millimeters measures the new tablet from Sony at its thickest point and weighs only 439 grams. This makes it even thinner and lighter than the iPad Air (7.5 mm, 479 grams). The sharp edges and corners, which disturbed the one by Xperia Z tablet, Sony has been abolished. The Xperia Z2 Tablet is thus much more comfortable in the hand.

The Z2 tablet is waterproof and dustproof (IP55 and IP 58 standard). The unit consists mostly of matte plastic that feels pleasant, but on closer inspection is somewhat prone to fingerprints. Due to the impressive low "thickness" Sony had to build the device well in the area, because only then can we explain the very wide black border.

Like its predecessor, the successor has a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The playback is sharp, colors are amazing, the tablet will have high contrast and therefore almost reached OLED level. The brightness is fine, but by the reflective glass front of the display, it is troublesome to see anything in direct sunlight. For driving in Z2 currently one of the fastest mobile processors, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, working its four cores with a maximum of 2.27 GHz provides. The RAM is three gigabytes in size, internally provides the tablet depending on the version 16 or 32 gigabytes of flash memory. If you need more, can use up to 64 GB microSD cards. Thanks to the very fast processor running Android 4.4 at all times liquid and apps launched quickly, due to the large memory, the device was not even across multiple open apps to a halt.

After the decent success of Iconia W3 windows 8 tablet, Acer has lauched W4 tablet. It features an Intel Atom Z3740 1.8GHz processor, 32 / 64 gigabytes of flash storage, 2 gigabytes of RAM and micro SD card slot. Screen size is 8 inches and it packs 1280×800 pixel resolution. Ramos Churns Out i8, i9, i10, and i12 Android tablet with Intel processor

Ramos, a China-based manufacturer best known for tablets in the Asian market, has introduced a new range of Android tablets based on Intel processors, not ARM. Last year, the company introduced the Ramos W32 with Intel Medfield and Android. The new tablet family includes four models: Ramos i8 , Ramos i9, Ramos i10 and Ramos i12, each equipped with display measuring 8, 9, 10 and 11.6 inches respectively and featuring Intel Clover Trail+ processor.

Asus Transformer TF701

Last June, at Computex 2013, ASUS introduced the successor to the Infinity Pad Transformer called TF700T. A new Infinity Transformer (TF701) appeared in some benchmarks online and in the FCC database, which should reach the US and European market by the end of November for a price of 499 Euros / dollars. The information, as usual, comes from a Dutch online shop that has added to this list the new device, making it available for pre-order. The model on sale has 32GB of storage and the price includes the keyboard dock.
