Ramos, a China-based manufacturer best known for tablets in the Asian market, has introduced a new range of Android tablets based on Intel processors, not ARM. Last year, the company introduced the Ramos W32 with Intel Medfield and Android. The new tablet family includes four models: Ramos i8 , Ramos i9, Ramos i10 and Ramos i12, each equipped with display measuring 8, 9, 10 and 11.6 inches respectively and featuring Intel Clover Trail+ processor.
Ramos i8 is the cheapest of the series, and has 1GB of RAM and display packing 1280 x 800 pixels, while all other models use 2GB of RAM and full HD screen. In particular, the i12 boasts a display of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the Ramos i9 and i10 feature 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. All are equipped with the Intel Atom Z2580 2GHz processor, which is a 32nm dual-core chip with support for HyperThreading. While it is not as powerful as the new Intel Bay Trail, which was launched last week, Clover Trail + ensures low power consumption and is more suited for smartphone / tablets running Android operating system. Omglaptop, a laptop site says that these tablets will be released in China in the later part of September.
